This ceramic lamp base is a typical piece from the late 1970s. This bulbous and lobed silhouette, often referred to as "melon" or "garlic" shape, was extremely popular in French design during that time. There was a desire to return to softer, more natural forms. The cream or ivory uniform glazed ceramic is characteristic of quality mass production from those decades. It was the elegant and understated alternative to the brighter colours of the 1960s. The white socket with ring (E14) and the white PVC electrical cord. New floral-shaped lampshade, printed "sobremonte green". Height of lamp with lampshade: 30 cm. Height of lamp base: 16 cm. Diameter of lamp base: 12 cm. Height of lampshade: 18 cm. Diameter of lampshade: 20 cm. Indoor lighting: suitable for all rooms, except damp areas. Compliant with European standards. This is a second-hand lamp base that may show signs of use and age. I take care of every little detail to awaken the beauty of all my lamps!.
