Coffee table model 210 designed by Belgian designer Alfred Hendrickx for Belform, Belgium, 1960s. Known for introducing a more refined and internationally oriented modernism into Belgian furniture production, Hendrickx combined clean architectural lines with carefully integrated functional elements. The table is executed in rosewood with a black lacquered wooden base and a built-in bar compartment concealed beneath the sliding top. The top features a unique, signed ceramic tile artwork by Belgian sculptor and ceramicist Willy Meysmans. In very good condition, a rare piece of Belgian mid-century furniture with integrated ceramic art.
