Bonheur du jour or stepped desk in inlaid wood depicting the fables of La Fontaine, - a step offers 6 drawers inlaid with the fables of La Fontaine. - a drawer in the belt reveals a writing desk with its green leather, - a curtain reveals six drawers inlaid with decorations of urns, cups, and flowers, resting on the four legs joined by a shelf decorated with flowers. The furniture is inlaid on all sides in rosewood, rosewood, amaranth, tinted boxwood. It presents fables of Jean de La Fontaine (1621-1695) among the most famous: - "The crow and the fox" on the central top, - "The wolf and the stork" on the right step, - "The miller his son and the donkey" on the central drawer of the step. - "The fox and the stork" on the left drawer of the step. 19th century, Transition style.
