Superb and authentic still life oil painting on canvas depicting a dead hare and a bottle of red wine placed on a table. It is signed in the top right "BERSIER" and dates from the 1950s. This is a typical theme of that era: the hunting trophy. It is a very beautiful composition, the hare is rendered with a lot of flat materials, perhaps a knife work!
