Oil painting on wood

Oil painting is a widely painted portrait, beautifully crafted, indicating that the author was a seasoned artist, but it is not signed. Beautiful color distribution. Note that the corners of the plywood panel at the bottom of the table are trimmed by about 1.5 cm, which is visible in the photos. The painting of the bottom behind the head is laid like a pochade, and does not go quite up to the edge of the panel, and one can see the wood near the edges. There is a hole of a few millimeters in the top of the panel, almost in the middle, near the edge. Beautiful composition, with the hairline that meets the bottom line of the face, and that of the left shoulder. The painting dates back to the 1950s.
