Rare and very decorative set of six antique Singer workshop stools, dating from the early 20th century. The stools feature heavy cast iron bases marked SINGER, combined with solid wood seats. The seats are made of oak and walnut and exhibit beautiful differences in colour and patina. One of the seats has been replaced at some point and is made of mahogany. Each stool is height adjustable thanks to a large threaded screw mechanism. A small locking screw on the side allows for fixing the desired height. The distinctive four-legged cast iron bases give the stools a strong industrial appearance and good stability. Originally designed as practical seating for workshops or factories, these stools have acquired a lovely patina over decades of use. The wooden seats show scratches, marks, colour variations, and other traces of their working life, while the cast iron retains a beautiful aged dark finish. Finding six matching Singer bases at the same time makes this set particularly interesting. They work perfectly around a high table or kitchen island, but would also be remarkable in a restaurant, bar, shop, or any other commercial interior. The stools are sold exclusively as a set of six. Dimensions Seat diameter: approx. 36 cm Height adjustable: approx. 44 to 62 cm
