Talking plates Creil and Montereau

Set of three plates from Creil and Montereau. The stamp of the pottery can be seen on the back of each plate (see photo). These are what are known as "speaking" plates on the theme of gallantries, numbered 7/8/9. Numbers 7 and 8 are in very good condition, while number 9 has a visible crack as well. They were produced around 1876 for over 10 years but retain a superb style and charm. It's a lovely touch of history to add to everyday life.
