This vase features a fascinating volcanic decor in four tones: a deep brown base mixed with a white "foam" glaze, topped with a vibrant gradient of orange and yellow. To the touch, the material is not smooth: you can feel the roughness, the thickness of the glaze, and the "bubbling" work typical of the fat lava technique.
