Artist Vase in Blown Glass Marcou Lava Edition

Magnificent and rare modernist vase made of thick, heavy glass, produced in France around 1970-1980 and published by the decoration house Marcou Laval. This iconic model, identified by comparison with referenced examples bearing the Marcou Laval gold sticker (absent here), showcases the craftsmanship of French glass workshops of the time, with an aesthetic reminiscent of the Verrerie de Biot and creations associated with the movement of master glassmakers like Jean-Claude Novaro or Robert Pierini. Its elegant conical shape is enhanced by a superb emerald green hue with deep bluish reflections, as well as by a decoration of glass dots applied hot in relief, creating an organic and sculptural effect typical of Space Age design from the 1970s. Entirely hand-blown and crafted, each piece is unique. Height 25 cm, diameter at the neck 16 cm. The vase impresses with its weight and the thickness of its glass. It is preserved in very good general condition, without chips, cracks, or restoration. Only discreet micro-scratches from use are noted under the base and on the body, which are hardly visible at first glance.
