Sommerso art glass vase by Ernst Gordon, 1960s

An amazing handblown vintage bright red sommerso signed glass vase, made and signed by Ernst Gordon for Åfors, Sweden. The vase has a fantastic teardrop shape, but it is the colour that makes this vase so special: bright red with surrounding clear crystal. It is signed by Ernst Gordon, one of Sweden’s most talented glass blowers and designers, and his work always holds a very high standard. It is 21 cm high and around 10 cm wide. There are a few very small minor abrasions, yet overall it is in great condition—a fantastic little piece of glass art.
