Rare and spectacular covered bonbonnière or jewellery box, An iconic piece of Vallauris art ceramics. This item is part of the modernist production of the 1960s-1970s. It is attributed to the famous master potter Marius Giuge, a great specialist in volcanic glazes. The lid and the curved body display a striking "Fat Lava" decor: a flaming coral red and a deep black are enhanced by heavy drips of textured white glaze, known as "sea foam." The original label "Souvenir de Menton" beautifully highlights its authenticity and history.
