Magnificent and rare pair of wall sconces with two lights (double light) from the famous Maison Arlus, period 1960-1970. True icons of modernist design and brutalist/organic style, these sconces feature a structure in gilded metal that faithfully imitates the raw and sculptural texture of wooden branches (fake wood effect). Each sconce is topped with two stunning ogive-shaped (tulip) diffusers in satin white opaline glass, diffusing a soft and warm light. In very good vintage condition. The 4 opaline glass pieces are intact (no chips, no cracks). The electricity has been completely revised and modernised (recent compliant wiring, see photos of the back), ready to plug in. Sockets for standard E14 screw bulbs. Hand delivery is preferred due to the fragility of the glassware, or ultra-secure shipping very carefully packaged (thick bubble wrap and double cardboard).
