Lot Scandinavian Chandelier Gunnar Ander – Ystad Metall Edition (Sweden) A centrepiece of Mid-Century design, in "Full Brass" version. I am offering this chandelier as is, with 6 asymmetrical branches, an iconic creation by Gunnar Ander for the Swedish publisher Ystad Metall. Unlike the common models with black-painted arms, this fully gilded version offers an even brighter, more elegant, and sculptural silhouette. Why this piece is unique: Designer: Gunnar Ander, a major figure in Swedish modernism. Publisher: Ystad Metall (signed under the base with the publisher's stamp and the designer's initials "GA"). Design: A perfect balance between Bauhaus aesthetics and Scandinavian poetry with its stylised flower-shaped cups. Dimensions: H 27 cm X W 29 cm X D 7 cm. An ideal size that fits well on both a sideboard and as a centrepiece. Condition & Authenticity: The item is presented in its authentic vintage condition. It has never been restored or repainted, thus retaining all its historical value: Patina: The brass shows a natural patina of use (visible oxidation marks on the base and inside the candle holders). Structure: One of the outer branches is slightly bent and needs to be straightened for perfect symmetry. The metal is sound and has not suffered any breakage.
