Charming vintage tea set consisting of a teapot, a milk jug, a cake plate, three cups, a mug and three saucers that can be used as dessert plates. This charming tea set features a style that could be described as modernist or late art deco, with mid-century influences: a sober base that highlights the colorful details, raised cabochons enameled in bright colors (red, blue, orange, green) circled in gold — these elements evoke both the costume jewelry of the 50s and 60s and the decorative taste of late art deco and simple, soft shapes. The clean lines of the cups and the teapot recall the search for functional design specific to modernism. Discreet touches of gilding: used to circle the cabochons and underline a few lines (particularly the teapot lid), they add a precious note without being overloaded.
