This charming handcrafted earthenware pitcher by JP Daniel features a slender silhouette and a superb speckled golden yellow glaze, enhanced with a hand-painted floral decoration in a rustic and cheerful spirit. The wavy line of the neck, the shine of the glaze and the delicate naive patterns in green, brick and black tones evoke traditional southern ceramics, with that little something extra typical of JP Daniel. A warm and characterful handmade French piece. Note the detail of the stylized flower petals in relief as well as the worked base and handle. Signature "Fait main JP Daniel" intaglio under the base: the signature JP Daniel (or sometimes simply Daniel or JP Daniel) is found on many pieces of French artisanal earthenware originating from the south of France, notably pitchers, dishes, cups, bowls or butter dishes, made between the 1980s and 2000s, sometimes beyond.
