Designed in 1958 by renowned Danish designer and architect Poul Henningsen, it has been manufactured by Louis Poulsen ever since and remains a celebrated classic of Danish modernism. Its distinctive multi-shade design is based on Henningsen’s innovative reflective lighting system, which directs light not only downwards but also sideways, gently illuminating the lamp itself.
