Vintage sculptural cognac leather lounge canapé, France 1980.

Incredible sculptural bench from the mid-century in cognac leather made in France, 1980s. It should be regarded more as a work of art or a decorative element in a room. This unique bench/sofa, reminiscent of a lobster, was designed and handcrafted to adorn a luxurious home in Brittany, France. The thick, patinated cognac leather straps beautifully encircle a wine-coloured foam base on which it is intended to lie or sit. The sleeping area is made of soft cognac leather and a thick foam cushion covered in the same leather. The organic shapes and the use of different types of leather bring the sofa to life, creating movement in the surrounding space. This luxurious work of art is one of a kind.
