A black leather chaise lounge designed by Danish artwork master Verner Panton for Fritz Hansen, part of the System 1.2.3 collection, debuting in 1974. Overall dimensions are H: 100 / W: 158 / D: 60 cm. Seat height is 37 cm. Designed by Verner Panton in 1973, the System 1-2-3 is a revolutionary, versatile collection of lounge and dining chairs characterized by a distinctive, flowing S-shaped, cantilevered, and upholstered structure. Combining ergonomic comfort with a sculptural, 360-degree swivel aesthetic, the chairs were designed to appear as if they "grow up out of the floor, " providing a functional, modern pop-art look. The collection includes both Standard (smooth upholstery) and Deluxe (quilted upholstery) versions, as the chaise longue above. This chaise longue has an uncompromising, eye-catching shape that makes this piece of furniture the focal point of any room it is in. Its beautifully preserved original black quilted leather upholstery, closely related to the Chesterfield pattern, immediately brings a luxurious look. The chromed details, and solid wood legs are truly icing on the cake. Overall, it remains in fantastic vintage condition.
