Lovely Quality Brass 6 Light Scrolled Acanthus Leaf Crystal Cage Chandelier 3626

Beautiful french antique 6 light good quality brass and crystal cage chandelier in a louis XV style dating from the late 1920s. The chandelier is made up of a three sided central cage formation to the top with a central crystal ball and crystal droplets. From the cage formation is a central decorative finial from which come the 6 scrolled arms. The arms lead to leaf shaped candle drip holders and the candle drips are the old card type in keeping with the age of the chandelier. The chandelier hangs from a 5 link chain 2 of which are decorative, a bar and decorative ceiling fitting. The light is working with french braided twin core wiring and takes 6 small screw in bulbs e14s.the frame work is solid with a lovely aged worn patina and verdigris which adds to its character. It has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on its overall finish. The crystals are bright and complete with no visible chips or cracks. The candle drips are a little worn in places.
