Pair of teak armchairs with upholstered seats and backrests, reupholstered in a light grey cotton-blend fabric. Karl-Erik Ekselius, JOC Möbler, 1960s. Designed by Karl-Erik Ekselius for JOC Möbler in the 1960s, these armchairs feature compact, well-defined teak frames in which the treatment of the wood plays a central role. Particularly distinctive are the armrests, shaped with an almost sculptural quality and a section that varies along their profile before flowing continuously into the backrest structure. This attention to the form of structural elements, developed by Ekselius during his long collaboration with JOC, characterises many of his furniture designs from the period. The seats and backrests have been recently reupholstered in a light grey cotton-blend fabric. Good condition. They may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AF524
