Antique Baccarat crystal whisky decanter, Malmaison - Circa 1900

Splendid small jug / whisky flask in heavy crystal from the prestigious Baccarat manufacture. This is the iconic "Malmaison" model, characterised by its wide flat cut ribs, its bevelled neck with a pouring spout, and its elegant handle. A piece of exceptional clarity and brilliance. AUTHENTICITY & CRAFTSMANSHIP (Period piece): This flask is a rare production from before 1936, a time when Baccarat did not apply its acid stamp. Its authenticity and handcrafted production are confirmed by two indisputable criteria: The pairing number: the presence of the number "9" hand-engraved under the handle, typical of pieces adjusted in the workshop. The density of the heavy crystal: an exceptional weight of 1, 360 grams for only 20 cm, proving the high lead content.
