Antique walnut wedding sideboard

Very old wedding sideboard, made entirely of solid walnut, traditional French craftsmanship from the late 18th century. Handcrafted work, with panel mouldings created using manual tools. The structure of the piece is entirely made of solid walnut, assembled with wooden dowels. The walnut top has been replaced and is fixed with wrought iron nails. Two doors mounted on original black wrought iron hinges. Closure by latch, non-functional lock. Interior features two solid wood shelves. Similar decorations carved in the mass on the upper and lower friezes: heart within a frame. Scalloped lower frieze. Simple, straight legs, with visible restoration on the front legs which have been raised. The piece has been cleaned and sanitised, with the patina of time preserved. Sideboard suitable for everyday use. Shelves: 96x45 cm. Heights of the shelves from bottom to top: 49 cm / 26 cm / 35 cm.
