Charming oil on canvas signed G. Thomas, dated 1906 on the reverse, entitled "Cows at the Watering Hole." A typical early 20th-century rural scene depicting a peasant woman and her cows by a river, with a village in the background. Beautifully balanced composition and a soft palette reminiscent of French countryside landscapes.
