Vase signed Accolay, from a collective of experimental French ceramists based in the village of Accolay in Burgundy during the second half of the 20th century (1945-1983). The model of the vase for sale is the result of the potters' research on firing techniques for glazes to create a speckled effect resembling animal fur and echoing the hues of the region's landscapes. The added feature of this vase is that it is glazed inside in peppermint green, a very contemporary colour. It bears a manual signature "Accolay" and the mould number 27 embossed underneath the vase. It dates from the 1960s. In good condition, with a nearly invisible chip underneath the vase when it is placed (see photos). Dimensions: height 27 cm, diameter 20 cm. Weight without packaging: 1400 g. Recycled packaging.
