Here is an adorable little jug, probably a milk pot, made of ceramic, glazed on the lower part, and finished in soft shades of olive, khaki, and chocolate on the upper part (the interior is completely glazed). Its shape is elegant and practical, with a wide opening to facilitate cleaning. The body is slightly ribbed. It is the result of beautiful artisanal work, both in turning and shaping as well as glazing. Given the clay used and especially the glazing, I believe it dates from the 1970s or 80s. It is signed underneath in relief by hand and also includes the mention of the location, Béceleuf in the Deux-Sèvres. It seems to me that it is the work of a potter who was based there until the 1990s, but I have not yet been able to formally identify them. I hope to get information about it from a potter who has more recently settled in Béceleuf; as soon as I know more, I will share it here... update on 05/03: the answer has arrived, how wonderful! Thanks to Nicolas from the Quadrilaterre workshop ;) This jug is therefore the work of Pierre Tézière, a ceramicist in Béceleuf until around the end of the 1990s. This milk pot is in perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, or even a scratch. It measures 9.5 cm in maximum height, 12 cm in width from the handle to the belly, and approximately 8.5 cm in maximum diameter.
