Vintage suspension in mother-of-pearl and brass with fruit decoration – retro light fitting from the 70s.

Charming vintage suspension made of mother-of-pearl mounted on a brass structure forming an elegant luminous dome. The translucent mother-of-pearl plates diffuse a soft and warm light while revealing subtle natural iridescent reflections. The brass structure creates a regular geometric network that holds the mother-of-pearl panels and highlights their variations in hue. The central decoration features stylised fruits, apples and pears, in red and yellow tones that add a decorative touch typical of domestic lighting from the late 20th century. The upper collar follows the same decorative principle with small mother-of-pearl petals that give the whole piece an elegant and slightly floral silhouette. The entire piece is in very good condition with signs of age consistent with its age and use. The mother-of-pearl is particularly well preserved, which is quite rare for this naturally fragile material. No structural defects are to be reported. Estimated dating: circa 1975–1985.
