Turquoise and transparent glass sommerso catchall from Murano. 1960s. It is a sculptural, translucent piece made of sommerso glass, an art glass technique originating from the island of Murano in Italy, where the different layers create remarkable depth. Its faceted size enhances the play of light and gives it the appearance of a gemstone, with the depth of blue evolving throughout the day. As a catchall or centerpiece, it is attributed to the artists and master glassmakers Flavio Poli or Alessandro Mandruzzato. Tiny scratches on the underside.
