Table and benches in larch wood by Christian Durupt, circa 1960

A rare dining set designed by Christian Durupt, a renowned French cabinetmaker who collaborated with Charlotte Perriand. The dining table and its two grooved benches are crafted entirely from solid larch wood: the thick, assembled tabletop, slightly chamfered at the edge, features two longitudinal grooves. It rests on four oblong legs mounted at an angle. Provenance: Furniture from the Résidence Les Airelles in Méribel, built in 1962. Bench dimensions: H: 44 cm - L: 200 cm - W: 24 cm.
