Rare authentic set by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, preserved in its exceptional original woven wool fabric, with the publisher's identification plaque. The set consists of a large Oyster armchair model F157 and its matching Director ottoman, designed by Pierre Paulin for the Dutch company Artifort in the 1960s. An emblematic piece of European modernist design, the Oyster armchair is distinguished by its sculptural silhouette, its enveloping shell with organic lines, and its airy tubular metal base. This set is notable for having retained its original woven wool upholstery, in beautiful shades of brown, beige, and ochre. The fabric is in excellent condition, with no tears or significant alterations. The Director ottoman, also covered in its original fabric, harmoniously complements the armchair and offers additional comfort thanks to its generous padding. Authenticity The armchair has its metal identification plaque bearing the inscriptions "ARTIFORT – design: Pierre Paulin," accompanied by the publisher's logo. Condition Very good original condition. The wool upholstery is remarkably preserved. The metal bases show only signs of aging, with some traces of oxidation and a patina consistent with their age. No restoration of the fabrics.
