Purple rain, purple rainnn… what a color boost! This design icon was designed by pierre paulin for artifort. Coming from the netherlands. Due to its playful design, this chair looks different from various angles. Yet it consists of two identical shell shapes of pressed beech wood, covered with molded foam 'the slices'. The shape is reminiscent of the segments of an orange. That is why this easy chair is also called the 'orange slice'. Equipped with the original purple upholstery and in a beautiful vintage condition. A unique set with matching ottoman (footstool). The footstool unfortunately shows some discolouration in the fabric.
