Blue and white ceramic teapot

Beautiful blue and white ceramic teapot signed Jean de Brittany. These earthenwares are recognized by their decoration: geometric, rich in threads, inspired by Breton and Celtic motifs, in blue and white colors. On each piece is noted the decor number and the initials of the decorator. This production of decorated earthenware is very successful under the name "st-jean-de-bretagne". It employed up to 80 people before closing its doors permanently in 1989 following a fire. A very beautiful handcrafted object in excellent condition. Nice capacity. Ideal for everyday use.
