Authentic French elegant meridian from the Restoration period, dating approximately from 1820, made of solid wood (probably cherry). This piece is notable for being fully restored both at the front and the back, allowing it to be placed in the centre of a room and admired from all angles. The backrest ends with a magnificent finely carved swan's head, characteristic of the Restoration style. All original feet are present, sturdy, and in perfect working condition. The beige leather upholstery was done during a professional restoration about 30 years ago. It is still in very good condition. Only one or two decorative nails from the upholstery are missing, a minor flaw that is easily replaceable. The piece is stable, elegant, and ready to be installed in a characterful home, a château, a manor house, or a classic interior. A very beautiful collector's item, rare for its overall condition and careful presentation. The measurements are approximate and will be improved next week.
