Beautiful Le Bambole sofa and lounge chair in original beige jute and linen upholstery, designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia in the 1970s. This stunning pair brings warmth and comfort with its thick original fabric in a warm cream/beige colour, fitting well to the chunky design. The original fabric is still in very good original condition with a few minor scuffs as shown in the last pictures and without stains or rips. Besides the outstanding comfort, this iconic sofa is famous for its timeless looks. The ‘Le Bambole’ collection was awarded the 1979 ‘Compasso d’Oro’ award. An example of Le Bambole is included in MoMA’s permanent collection. Designer: Mario Bellini. Manufacturer: B&B Italia. Period: 1970s. Dimensions: sofa: W178 X D98 X H72 cm.
