Succumb to the charm of this superb vintage ceramic signed by the famous Potters of Accolay, an active community in Yonne from 1944 to 1989. This pitcher (or jug) with its slender and organic design perfectly embodies the "Mid-Century Modern" style and the brutalist trend of the 60s-70s. It stands out for its remarkable glazing work: a textured robe in turquoise and aquamarine shades, contrasted by large dark scratched slip decorations, revealing the raw clay. This superb effect of "cracks" or lava is original and purely decorative (it is in no way a sign of cracks). The piece is clearly signed "Accolay" under its base, accompanied by a workshop monogram. Condition of the object: The body and handle of the pitcher are in perfect structural condition, sound and without any cracks. It is worth noting: a small chip on the edge of the neck (visible in the photos, revealing the light clay), which does not detract from the raw charm of this collectible piece.
