Large antique plate decorated with birds and flowers – Boch for Royal Sphinx

Magnificent round plate in fine earthenware, decorated with a paradise bird among blooming polychrome flowers. This typically Art Deco design illustrates the craftsmanship of European manufacturers from the early 20th century. Mark on the reverse: “Made for Royal Sphinx by Boch – Holland” This mark corresponds to a production from the 1920s-1930s, resulting from the collaboration between Boch Frères (La Louvière, Belgium) and Royal Sphinx (Maastricht, Holland), two renowned houses for their decorative earthenware exported throughout Europe. Excellent condition, no cracks or chips. Diameter 31cm Height 4cm.
