Charming vintage desk from the 1950s-60s, with a clean and timeless Scandinavian style. It stands out with its oblique tapered legs, very graphic, connected by a low crossbar that structures the whole while providing true stability. Its front drawer, with an original brass handle, is not a conventional drawer but a pivoting drawer, equipped with practical compartments for storing pens and small stationery supplies; an ingenious space-saving system inherited from the original piece. Above, the top fully lifts on hinges, revealing a large hidden storage space, ideal for storing files, cables, or everyday items out of sight. This desk has a unique history: it once housed a Singer sewing machine, whose furniture has been completely transformed into this small desk with Scandinavian design. This lineage gives it a unique charm and a rare soul, far from mass-produced furniture. Its compact size makes it a valuable ally in today's interiors: it fits well in an entrance or hallway, as well as in a discreet teleworking corner in a bedroom or living room, without ever cluttering the space. Its narrow dimensions and light lines allow it to adapt to corners where a conventional desk would not fit. This desk has undergone a complete and careful renovation: transformation of the Singer furniture into a desk, complete sanding, cleaning of the original hardware, replacement of damaged oak veneer, and then application of a light oak varnish to the entire structure. Features: • Type: desk (former Singer sewing machine furniture) • Dimensions: H: 77 cm; W: 66 cm; D: 45 cm. • Materials: oak and oak veneer. • Colours / Finish: light oak varnish. • Condition: renovated, very good condition (some slight signs of wear may remain).
