Ancient Chinese kang table – solid elm, horse hoof legs

Authentic Chinese square coffee table, made of solid wood (elm/yumu), entirely traditional in craftsmanship. Dimensions: 63 × 63 cm – height 31 cm. 100% traditional construction: – Mortise and tenon joints secured with pegs, without any modern screws or glue. – Top with frame and floating panel (3 boards) – Curved apron and horse hoof feet sculpted from solid wood. – Underside retaining its old layers of lacquer and paint (turquoise, green, brown) and workshop pencil marks — see photos. Condition: good overall condition for its age. Authentic patina of use: crack on the top, rings and stains (see photos). Structure is sound and perfectly stable, no movement in the joints. Sold as is; a treatment with linseed oil + wax would restore its full shine. Uses: tea table, low coffee table for low seating or tatami, end table, decorative display (bonsai, ceramics, stack of books). Ideal size for a japandi/wabi-sabi interior.
