Spectacular pair of polychrome high-relief cache-pots (planters) in barbotine, from the Art Nouveau period (late 19th - early 20th century). This model stands out for its exceptional brightness. The Decor: The theme is a true homage to romantic nature. It features pairs of birds nesting on flowering branches, topped with large cobalt blue ribbon bows in relief. The base is also intricately designed with motifs of blue and pink acanthus leaves. Although unsigned, these cache-pots are characteristic of productions from Northern France or Belgium (type Wasmuël or Onnaing). They bear the decorator marks "A" and "B" painted on the reverse. Condition: These pieces are over 100 years old and are very well preserved. Please note: One of the cache-pots has a small crack on the base. This flaw does not hinder their decorative use (with a plant inside, it's invisible!), but it is taken into account in the reasonable price of this exceptional pair. Please take a good look at the photos. The colours are vibrant and the glaze is shiny. Ideal for adding a colourful "Winter Garden" or "Cabinet of Curiosities" touch to your interior. Dimensions (per cache-pot): Height: 21.5 cm. Diameter at the neck: 22 cm.
