Large Italian wall plate Gubbio bird decor vintage painted pottery

Large wall plate in Italian earthenware, handcrafted, from the second half of the 20th century, 1960-1980, stamped Gubbio C.A.F.E Italy. Hand-painted decoration featuring a stylised bird surrounded by polychrome plant and floral motifs, in a style similar to the works of Innocenti and Deruta. Beautiful geometric frieze on the wing, square shape with rounded corners and a slight indentation, glossy glaze on thick paste. 32cm by 32cm and approximately 4.8cm in height. Very good overall condition, no chips or cracks to report. Weight approximately 1.5 to 2kg.
