Bamiléké African Stool

The Bamiléké stools originally formed part of the royal furniture of the many chiefdoms of the Bamiléké ethnic groups (West Cameroon). These majestic pieces are handcrafted from a single block of tree trunk by our local artisans and finished by our local carpenters. Traditionally used as royal seats, these stools now serve as decorative pieces, seating, or coffee tables. Please note, this piece is untreated for indoor use! Any imperfections should be celebrated in homage to the work of our talented artisans. We believe this adds to their beauty and charm.
