Pair of Gunnar Nylund 'Sintra' series stoneware plates, 1960s. A pair of small signed plates/bowls by the celebrated Swedish artist and designer Gunnar Nylund, one of Scandinavia’s most prominent modernists. These pieces are from the sought-after 'Sintra' series of the 1960s, showcasing an exquisite geometric pattern and smooth, lustrous glazing in earthy, nature-inspired tones. One plate features a gradient from green to brown and beige, while the other is rendered in serene blue hues. Both are handmade and hand-decorated, ensuring each has its own distinctive character and charm. Crafted in high-quality stoneware, they are in very good vintage condition. From Rörstrand, one of Scandinavia's most prestigious ceramic companies, the plates are signed with maker's mark. Dimensions: Diameter: 14.5 cm, Height: 3 cm.
