An extraordinary sculptural handblown studio art glass vase from the 1960s, designed by Oldřich Lipský (1922–1987) and handcrafted by Atelier Exbor in Czechoslovakia. A great abstract design with precise geometric cuts. Hand-cut from thick solid glass, it has a square base and a widening shape with faceted and polished sides. Made in the Sommerso technique (layered glass with a colored inner glass core), the vase shows a beautiful combination of blue / light blue and purple / pink glass. In very good condition, a real showcase piece. A very exceptional vase. Height 8.25", 2.75 X 2.75".
