Charming small antique beech chest of drawers immediately captivates with its compact size and rare, ingenious mechanism. Of French origin, it measures only 53 cm wide × 45 cm high × 40.5 cm deep, making it an ultra versatile piece for small spaces. It features three drawers. The second and third drawers (counting from the top) are equipped with a clever and uncommon system: when you pull the drawer, the front panel folds down and slides under the drawer. This allows for much more comfortable access to the contents, without the front panel getting in the way. A functional detail full of character that showcases the craftsmanship of the era! The top has a beautiful dark patina, worn by time (scratches, small chips on the corners, and authentic signs of wear – see the detailed photos). The aged brass handles add a touch of authenticity.
