Magnificent pair of vases with a wavy shape and scalloped neck, resting on a quadruped base with integrated scrolls on a polylobed pedestal. A work of great finesse, very representative of high-end productions from the 19th century (in the style of Jacob Petit). Characteristics & Decor: Height: 23 cm. Dominant colors: Emerald green / intense Empire green background, enhanced with rich gold leaf decoration featuring scrolls, scrollwork, and foliage. Main medallions: Superb hand-painted floral decoration representing polychrome bouquets (roses, pansies, wildflowers), different on each side. Charming details: On the sides, small cartouches feature precisely painted insects (a butterfly on one, a snake/ladybug on the other). Condition: Vase 1: Very good overall condition, beautiful freshness of colors and gilding, normal and minimal wear to the gold. Vase 2: Note 2 chips (missing porcelain and gilding) located on the edge of the gilded base (perfectly visible from several angles in the detail photos).
