Superb antique wall tapestry in velvet, from the 1920s to 1940s, depicting a lion and a lioness in an exotic landscape. A decorative piece typical of the colonial Art Deco style, framed with a bamboo motif very characteristic of the era. The generous size (196 × 130 cm) allows for a beautiful visual presence. The reverse confirms an old manufacturing on a Jacquard loom. In good overall condition for its age: no holes, no tears, well-preserved velvet. Light and normal wear, consistent with a textile piece of nearly a century old.
