An adorable set of four teacups with saucers featuring designs by well-known dutch illustrator marjolein bastin. Each cup + saucer features a different fruit (raspberry, redcurrant, blackberry and cranberry), accompanied by its own butterfly. These designs are part of a series of drawings that bastin originally made for the dutch magazine "libelle" in the 1980s. They were used by the british pottery firm j & g meakin, a member of the wedgwood group, to decorate a line of tableware. Each teacup has a capacity of 100 ml. The teacups are in perfect condition, without chips or cracks.
