Magnificent pastel portrait of a young girl from the beginning of the twentieth century. The work is signed h. Lemoine and dated 1912 in the lower left edge. It comes from the entourage of the artist Henriette Porson. Although best known for her sculpted subjects, we know that she also made pastels. The signature of the latter does not allow us to attest that it is a drawing by her hand but it is possible that she used another surname. The work on the color is remarkable, harmonious and delicate: the softness of the skin, the light of the hair, the stylized treatment of the blouse. The gesture is sure, the profile is clear, the composition perfectly balanced, we are certainly facing the production of an established artist. The whole is in good condition, framed under glass and old frame. The art deco frame is quite becoming, it is in fairly good condition, some gaps on the lower right edge (see photos). The framed piece measures 39cm high and 30.5cm wide.
