A collectible, tall vase from the German Georgshütte glassworks, dating from the 1970s. This model from the Arktis series is an outstanding example of European Organic Modern design and Space Age styling. The vase is characterized by a massive, cylindrical form made of thick-walled, colorless pressed glass. Its unique "Ice-Bark Glass" structure (glass resembling tree bark or a block of ice) creates an irregular, textured surface that effectively diffuses and refracts light. Its austere, sculptural form makes it a striking decorative element in both modern and classic interiors. Technical data: Manufacturer: Georgshütte (Germany) Model: Arktis (Stangenvase) Period: 1970s. Height: 27 cm. Spring diameter: 9 cm. Base diameter: 8 cm. Material: Clear, textured glass. Condition.
