Afra & Tobia Scarpa, Soriana Chair, Cassina, Italy, 1970s. Afra (1937-2011) and Tobia (1935-) Scarpa studied at the Venice Institute of Architecture. Their designs are showcased in numerous museums around the world, including in the MoMA in New York and the Louvre in Paris. The Soriana model is one of their most iconic and representative creations, winning Italy's prestigious "Compasso d'Oro" Design Award in 1970. This chair originates from the waiting room of an important hotel designed by Takahama. It has been reupholstered in high-quality Italian leather and is ready for use.
