Vintage design by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy, 1970s. Afra (1937-2011) & Tobia (1935-) Scarpa both studied at the Venice Institute of Architecture. Their pieces are exhibited in many museums worldwide, including collections at the MoMA in New York and the Musée du Louvre in Paris. The Soriana model is considered one of their most iconic and representative designs, winning the prestigious Italian design award "Compasso d'Oro" in 1970. This sofa originally comes from the waiting room of an important hotel designed by the architect Takahama. It has been reupholstered with top-quality Italian leather and is ready for use.
